NORDIC AREA UPDATES:
Winter’s back in Cypress Nordic! We have had 25 cm of new snow overnight so whatever adventure you have planned it will be a perfect day to enjoy the mountain.
Different Bikes will be hosting the Thursday Night Social Ski in the cross country area tonight. Meet the group at the base area around 6:30pm to join in. We are expecting a regroom around 5pm this evening and the lower lit trails will remain open after dark till 10pm.
Cypress Nordic is going GREEN. Our compost program is now in full swing with the goal of reducing our garbage by 95% over the next 18 months. Hollyburn Lodge and the Nordic Cafe are now serving with dishes designed to be turned back into soil for BC agriculture (yes even the cutlery and clear cups are made from plant based material, not plastic). We have also replaced 2 of our snowmobiles with 4-stroke engines, which will reduce both noise and the smell of exhaust from our trails.
NORDIC AREA UPDATES:
42 of 44 of our Nordic ski trails are open today and in are in excellent "spring like" conditions for both skate and classic skiing. Our snowshoe trails are now open till 5pm (last rentals at 3pm) so come up and enjoy some fresh air and sunshine today!
We could like to welcome Hollyburn Ski Club "Birkie" race onto our trails this afternoon.
Get Fit, Go Nordic - we are taking booking for our final skate clinic of the year. Join us for 5 consecutive tuesdays starting on Feb 14 to learn or refine your skate ski technique, get some fresh air, exercise and meet new friends.
