How about some predictions for a colder, wetter and snowier winter ahead?
The folks at the Old Farmer’s Almanac are harshing Vancouver’s beach vibe with a forecast better suited to the turtleneck and Gore-tex crowd.
“What we see for Metro Vancouver is pretty simple — above normal cold, above normal precipitation, and an above normal amount of that coming in the form of snow,” says Managing Editor Jack Burnett.
“You hit the trifecta of ‘above normals’ for this coming winter and it’s interesting that we see the colder periods coming right at the beginning of December and then in the second half and then again in the latter half of January,” he tells NEWS 1130

A Message regarding making Cypress Mountain a “Smoke Free Environment”
Cypress Mountain is planning to become a Smoke Free Resort for the start of the 2016/17 Winter Season. This would mean that “smoking” of any kind would be prohibited within our Resort Boundaries.
